Description

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests, to evaluate patient health status.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
Perform minor surgical procedures, such as wound care, incision and drainage, and suturing, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care and facilitate seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
Document patient care activities, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) or other documentation systems.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
