Description

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments, to determine patient health status and develop treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory investigations, such as blood tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs), to aid in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses, prescribing medications, therapies, and interventions as appropriate within the scope of practice and under physician supervision.
Perform minor surgical procedures and invasive medical interventions, including wound care, suturing, incision and drainage, and joint injections, following established protocols and guidelines.
Provide counseling, education, and preventive healthcare services to patients, addressing health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and wellness.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult on complex cases, and facilitate referrals to specialists or additional healthcare services as needed.
Document patient encounters, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records (EMR) or patient charts, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
