Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in clinical practice and teaching to join our healthcare and educational institution. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical care while also contributing to the education and training of future PAs and healthcare professionals. This position combines hands-on patient care with educational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Stay current with medical advancements and best practices to ensure the highest standards of care.

Teaching and Education:

• Develop and deliver educational content to PA students and other healthcare learners.
• Plan and conduct lectures, seminars, and hands-on clinical skills training sessions.
• Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations, providing guidance and feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development and improvement activities.

Clinical Skills Assessment:

• Evaluate and assess the clinical skills and competence of PA students through objective assessments and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their professional development.
• Participate in the development and implementation of standardized patient encounters and simulations.

Research and Scholarship:

• Engage in scholarly activities, such as clinical research, publications, or presentations, to contribute to the field of healthcare and education.
• Collaborate with faculty and students on research projects when applicable.

Administrative Duties:

• Assist in program administration, including program accreditation, admissions interviews, and committee participation.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and outcomes.
• Attend department meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor / Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous teaching or preceptorship experience preferred.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and educators.
