• Blood Sample Collection: Perform venepuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients in their homes.
• Patient Interaction: Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanour when interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort and confidence during the collection process.
• Sample Labelling: Properly label and document collected samples, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols to protect both yourself and the patient.
• Sample Transportation: Safely transport collected samples to the designated laboratory for analysis.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment regularly.
• Documentation: Accurately record patient information, sample details, and collection times.
• Communication: Provide clear and concise communication with the healthcare team regarding sample collections and any issues encountered during the process.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Phlebotomist.
• Certification in Phlebotomy is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
