Description

  • Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including inventory management, dispensing medications, compounding, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all pharmacy activities are conducted in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and standards governing pharmacy practice, including HIPAA and DEA requirements.
  • Oversee medication procurement and inventory control processes, including ordering medications and supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness, and ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medications to patients.
  • Provide patient counseling and education on medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions, ensuring that patients understand their medications and treatment regimens.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient care, resolve medication-related problems, and promote medication safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescription orders, medication dispensing, patient profiles, and medication counseling activities using pharmacy information systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services, improve medication management processes, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Monitor pharmacy performance metrics, such as prescription volume, medication errors, patient satisfaction, and financial performance, and develop strategies to achieve performance targets.
