Description

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, verifying prescription orders, dosage instructions, and patient information, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Counsel patients on medication use, including dosage, administration instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions, to promote safe and effective medication therapy.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy, including medication reconciliation, therapeutic interchange, and dosage adjustments, as needed.
Conduct medication therapy reviews and comprehensive medication assessments to identify drug therapy problems, optimize medication regimens, and improve patient outcomes.
Provide immunization services, including administering vaccinations and counseling patients on vaccine-preventable diseases, vaccine schedules, and immunization safety.
Monitor patients for medication adherence, adverse drug reactions, and therapeutic outcomes, and intervene as needed to address medication-related issues and improve patient care.
Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications and supplies, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with inventory management protocols.
Perform compounding and specialty pharmacy services, including preparing customized medications, sterile compounding, and specialty medication packaging, as required.
