Description

  • Design and execute preclinical studies to identify and characterize novel drug targets, lead compounds, and drug candidates with therapeutic potential. Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate drug efficacy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety profiles using appropriate animal models and experimental techniques.
  • Perform pharmacokinetic analyses to assess the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties of drug compounds. Utilize pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation techniques to optimize drug dosing regimens, predict human exposure, and guide formulation development strategies.
  • Investigate the pharmacodynamic effects of drug compounds on biological targets, cellular signaling pathways, and physiological processes relevant to disease pathogenesis. Employ molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology techniques to elucidate drug mechanisms of action and identify potential biomarkers of therapeutic response.
  • Conduct safety pharmacology and toxicology studies to evaluate the potential adverse effects and safety profiles of drug candidates. Assess the risk-benefit profile of investigational drugs, identify safety liabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of human subjects in clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with clinical investigators and healthcare providers to design and implement clinical pharmacology studies, including Phase I clinical trials, bioequivalence studies, and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) modeling analyses. Collect and analyze clinical data to characterize drug exposure, dose-response relationships, and interpatient variability in drug response.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, and ethical guidelines governing the conduct of pharmacology research. Prepare regulatory submissions, study protocols, and investigator brochures for regulatory review and approval by health authorities.
