Description

Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely, verifying orders, dosage instructions, and patient information.
Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, precautions, and proper administration techniques to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to review medication orders, resolve drug-related problems, and optimize medication regimens.
Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) services, including medication reviews, adherence assessments, and medication reconciliation, to improve patient adherence and outcomes.
Perform medication compounding, sterile product preparation, and other pharmaceutical preparations according to established protocols and quality assurance standards.
Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactions, and intervene as necessary to prevent medication errors and adverse events.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records, prescription files, and inventory management systems.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice, including maintaining proper documentation, confidentiality, and security of pharmaceuticals.
