Description

Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner, following all legal and regulatory requirements.
Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions or contraindications.
Counsel patients on proper medication usage, including dosage, administration instructions, and potential side effects.
Provide medication therapy management services, including medication reviews, adherence counseling, and patient education on disease management.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy outcomes.
Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and adverse drug reactions.
Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation of pharmaceutical care interventions.
Participate in pharmacy quality assurance activities, including medication error reporting, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
Compounding medications as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
