Description
- Assist pharmacists or pharmaceutical technicians in preparing prescription medications, compounding sterile products, and packaging medications for dispensing.
- Measure, count, pour, and label medications accurately according to prescription orders, dosage instructions, and standard procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and quality assurance measures during medication preparation and handling.
- Receive, unpack, and stock incoming inventory of pharmaceutical products, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain organized and efficient storage of medications, ensuring proper storage conditions, expiration date monitoring, and rotation of stock.
- Perform periodic inventory checks, reconcile discrepancies, and communicate inventory needs to pharmacy management.
- Greet customers, answer phones, and provide assistance at the pharmacy counter, including retrieving medications, answering inquiries, and processing transactions.
- Assist customers with non-prescription medication purchases, over-the-counter product selection, and health-related inquiries under the supervision of pharmacy staff.
- Direct customer inquiries to pharmacists or pharmacy technicians for medication counseling, dosage instructions, or medication therapy management.
