Description

Conducting Pulmonary Tests: Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) to assess lung capacity, airflow, and gas exchange in patients, following standardized testing protocols.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for PFTs by explaining the procedure, gathering medical history related to respiratory conditions, and ensuring their comfort during the test.
Operating Equipment: Operate specialized pulmonary testing equipment such as spirometers, plethysmographs, and gas analyzers, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Monitoring Patient Condition: Observe patients closely during tests for any signs of discomfort or distress, ensuring their safety throughout the procedure.
Data Recording and Analysis: Record and analyze test results, ensuring that data is accurate and complete before sharing with physicians for further diagnosis or treatment planning.
Maintenance of Equipment: Perform regular cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of PFT equipment to ensure its proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Collaboration with Medical Staff: Work closely with pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.
Patient Education: Educate patients on respiratory health, proper breathing techniques, and how to prepare for tests, offering guidance on managing lung conditions as needed.
