Description

Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of pediatric conditions, both acute and chronic.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
Develop treatment plans in consultation with senior medical staff and communicate effectively with patients’ families about diagnoses and treatment options.
Monitor the progress of patients, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure timely intervention for any complications.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records, including patient history, examinations, and treatments.
Coordinate care plans with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, dietitians, and social workers.
Participate in case discussions, handovers, and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure continuity of care.
Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and manage critical cases until a consultant is available.
Perform resuscitation and emergency procedures as necessary, such as intubation or intravenous access.
Contribute to clinical research projects or audits related to pediatric medicine.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department, aiming to enhance patient care practices and outcomes.
