Pediatric Intensivist

Patient Care:

• Provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in the ICU.
• Perform thorough medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Oversee and coordinate the medical care of patients, including monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition.

Ventilator Management:

• Manage mechanical ventilation and provide respiratory support.
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings based on patient needs.
• Evaluate and interpret diagnostic data related to respiratory function.

Hemodynamic Monitoring:

• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications as necessary.
• Implement and manage interventions for hemodynamic stability.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families and provide updates on patient status.
• Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and critical care meetings.

Procedures:

• Perform and supervise invasive procedures as needed (e.g., intubation, central line placement).
• Coordinate and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
