Description

  • Prepare patients for invasive procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring all pre-procedure protocols are followed.
  • Set up and maintain sterile fields, ensuring all necessary instruments, tools, and devices are available and functional.
  • Assist in the positioning of patients and provide necessary pre-procedure care, such as attaching monitoring devices and IV lines.
  • Assist physicians and surgeons during invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, biopsies, or endoscopic procedures.
  • Handle specialized equipment like catheters, stents, balloons, or endoscopic instruments, ensuring they are ready for use.
  • Monitor patient vitals, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, and report any abnormalities to the medical team.
  • Ensure all medical equipment used during procedures is properly sterilized and maintained according to hospital or clinic protocols.
  • Troubleshoot any equipment issues that arise during the procedure and work with the technical team to resolve them quickly.
  • Clean and prepare instruments and equipment for reuse following established decontamination procedures.
