Description

Prepare patients for invasive procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring all pre-procedure protocols are followed.
Set up and maintain sterile fields, ensuring all necessary instruments, tools, and devices are available and functional.
Assist in the positioning of patients and provide necessary pre-procedure care, such as attaching monitoring devices and IV lines.
Assist physicians and surgeons during invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, biopsies, or endoscopic procedures.
Handle specialized equipment like catheters, stents, balloons, or endoscopic instruments, ensuring they are ready for use.
Monitor patient vitals, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, and report any abnormalities to the medical team.
Ensure all medical equipment used during procedures is properly sterilized and maintained according to hospital or clinic protocols.
Troubleshoot any equipment issues that arise during the procedure and work with the technical team to resolve them quickly.
Clean and prepare instruments and equipment for reuse following established decontamination procedures.
