Description

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility exercises, therapeutic activities, and functional tasks as directed by occupational therapists.
Provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to patients during therapy sessions, fostering a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.
Prepare therapy rooms, equipment, and materials for therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Assist occupational therapists during therapy sessions, providing hands-on support, guidance, and supervision to patients as needed.
Set up, operate, and maintain therapeutic equipment and devices used in occupational therapy, including assistive devices, mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic modalities.
Observe and monitor patients' progress, functional abilities, and responses to therapy interventions, reporting findings to occupational therapists and documenting patient interactions accurately and timely.
Perform clerical tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients, maintaining patient records, and organizing therapy schedules, to support the efficient operation of the occupational therapy department.
Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory standards to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in the therapy department.
Collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, share information, and achieve therapy goals.
