Description
- Set up treatment areas according to therapists' instructions, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Assist occupational therapists in providing direct patient care, including helping patients with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and mobility training.
- Observe and document patients' responses to therapy interventions, reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist.
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are in good working condition and properly stocked at all times.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling patient appointments, updating patient records, and billing for services rendered.
- Provide education to patients and their families about therapy procedures, techniques, and home exercise programs as directed by the occupational therapist.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean therapy environment. Follow all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
