Description

Prepare examination rooms and assist gynecologists during pelvic examinations, pap smears, colposcopies, and other gynecological procedures.
Assist with patient positioning, draping, and instrument sterilization to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Collect gynecological specimens, including cervical swabs, vaginal cultures, endometrial biopsies, and Pap test samples, following established protocols and guidelines.
Ensure proper labelling, documentation, and timely delivery of specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
Assist with obstetric ultrasound examinations, including transabdominal and transvaginal scans, by preparing equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and providing support to patients during the procedure.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
Provide patient education and counseling on gynecological health, contraception, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), menstrual hygiene, and other related topics.
Explain procedures, treatment options, and follow-up care instructions to patients and their families in a clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive manner.
Assist gynecologists with intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals, ensuring proper placement, documentation, and patient education regarding IUD use and follow-up care.
Address patient questions, concerns, and potential side effects related to IUDs.
