Description

Surgical Setup: Prepare the operating theatre by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and properly arranged before surgery.
Assist in Procedures: Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgeries by providing necessary instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring proper patient positioning.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized OT equipment, such as monitors, anesthesia machines, and electrosurgical units, ensuring they are functioning properly throughout the procedure.
Sterilization and Hygiene: Follow strict infection control practices to sterilize instruments, equipment, and the operating room, adhering to hospital protocols for hygiene and safety.
Patient Preparation: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of the medical team.
Post-Operative Care: Assist with post-operative tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting the operating room, handling surgical waste, and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, equipment used, and any incidents or complications that occur during the operation.
Inventory Management: Manage OT supplies and inventory, ensuring that necessary surgical materials and equipment are available, replenished, and properly stored.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist in emergency surgeries or unforeseen complications, ensuring quick response and handling of additional medical equipment as required.
Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures and a high level of patient care.
