Description

Prepare and set up the operating theatre (OT) for surgeries, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for use.
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, handling specimens, and maintaining the sterile field during surgeries.
Operate and monitor surgical equipment, such as anesthesia machines, electro-surgical units, and other devices, ensuring proper functionality.
Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring proper positioning and assisting in the application of surgical drapes.
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating theatre, following infection control protocols to prevent contamination.
Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and properly stored after procedures.
Monitor and maintain OT equipment, performing routine checks and assisting in troubleshooting or repairs when needed.
Document all equipment use, patient details, and any surgical complications as per hospital protocols.
Assist with post-operative care by ensuring proper disposal of waste materials and preparing the theatre for the next procedure.
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on surgical techniques, equipment advancements, and hospital policies.
