Description

Assist in the preparation, setup, and maintenance of the operating theater (OT) before, during, and after surgeries.
Ensure that all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile, functional, and properly organized for each procedure.
Monitor and maintain equipment during surgeries, ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, handling specimens, and maintaining the sterile field during operations.
Prepare and clean the OT, including disinfecting surfaces and ensuring a sterile environment for each procedure.
Manage inventory and stock of surgical supplies, including sterilization and organization of instruments.
Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures, including details on instruments used and equipment settings.
Support anesthesia technicians and other OT staff by ensuring patient safety and assisting in positioning patients for surgery.
Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, including waste disposal and infection control measures.
Participate in regular training and development to stay updated on the latest techniques, equipment, and sterilization practices in the OT.
