Description

Set up the operating room according to the surgical schedule, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and in place.
Conduct routine checks of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and are readily available for use.
Assist the surgical team in positioning patients safely on the operating table, ensuring comfort and safety.
Maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure, following strict infection control protocols.
Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon as required, anticipating their needs during surgery.
Assist in the proper disposal of used instruments and materials according to safety and infection control standards.
Help transfer patients to recovery areas post-surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Clean and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures, ensuring it meets all hygiene and safety standards.
Operate and maintain surgical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are properly sterilized and functioning.
Assist in the calibration and testing of surgical devices and equipment as needed.
