Description

Preparation of the Operating Room: Prepare and maintain the surgical environment by ensuring that all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and readily available before surgery.
Assisting Surgeons and Nurses: Assist surgeons and surgical nurses during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile field, ensuring all protocols are followed.
Monitoring Patient Safety: Help monitor patients' vital signs and conditions during surgery, alerting the surgical team to any changes or concerns as necessary.
Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition, and reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Post-Operative Duties: Assist in transferring patients to recovery areas after surgery and ensure that all used instruments and supplies are accounted for and properly cleaned and sterilized.
Infection Control Compliance: Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the operating room to minimize the risk of infection and ensure patient safety.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including inventory of instruments used, and assist in documenting any complications or issues that arise during surgery.
Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay updated on new surgical techniques, equipment, and best practices in operating room protocols.
