<ul><li>Set up the operating room before surgery, ensuring that all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.</li><li>Arrange surgical instruments in the order of use and ensure that the OT environment is sterile and safe.</li><li>Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments during procedures.</li><li>Maintain a sterile field during surgery and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.</li><li>Monitor the surgical equipment and ensure all instruments are functional throughout the procedure.</li><li>Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before and after procedures.</li><li>Operate and maintain autoclaves, sterilisers, and other equipment used in the OT.</li><li>Handle and dispose of surgical waste in accordance with hospital regulations.</li><li>Help position patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.</li><li>Assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating room.</li><li>Monitor patient vitals during surgery, if required, and assist in preparing patients for post-operative care.</li></ul>
