Description

Prepare the operating theatre for surgical procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in working order.
Assist in creating and maintaining a sterile field within the operating theatre, including draping patients, arranging sterile instruments, and organizing surgical equipment according to procedure requirements.
Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using autoclaves, chemical sterilizers, or other approved methods, adhering to established protocols and infection control standards.
Provide assistance to surgeons and surgical team members during procedures, passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile items as requested, and anticipating their needs to ensure smooth workflow.
Assist in positioning and transferring patients on the operating table, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgical procedure.
Assist anesthesia providers with patient monitoring, equipment setup, and other tasks related to anesthesia administration as required.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of surgical equipment, including lights, tables, and monitors, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
