Description

Assist occupational therapists in implementing therapeutic treatment plans and interventions for patients with various conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and developmental disabilities.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
Set up and assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and adaptive equipment under the guidance and supervision of occupational therapists.
Provide direct assistance and support to patients during therapy sessions, including positioning, guiding, and monitoring patients' progress and responses to treatment.
Assist with patient transfers, mobility activities, and gait training exercises as needed, ensuring proper body mechanics and safety precautions.
Administer modalities and assistive devices, such as hot/cold packs, splints, and orthoses, as directed by occupational therapists.
Document patient progress, treatment activities, and other relevant information accurately and promptly in medical records or electronic documentation systems.
