Description

Prepare and maintain operation theatre.
Maintain equipment support in an acute care environment.
Identify and move to maintain a sterile field.

Assist in preparing the operating theater (OT) for surgical procedures by ensuring it is sterile, organized, and equipped.
Set up and operate surgical instruments, medical devices, and monitoring equipment during surgeries.
Sterilize, maintain, and properly store surgical instruments and equipment before and after each procedure.
Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during operations by handing instruments, managing supplies, and adjusting equipment.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgery by positioning them correctly and monitoring vital signs.
Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including instruments used, patient conditions, and any complications.
Monitor and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of surgical site infections.
Assist in cleaning and resetting the operating room for subsequent surgeries.
Stay updated on new surgical techniques, equipment, and protocols to ensure optimal performance in the operating room.
