Description

Monitor and manage inventory levels of surgical supplies, including surgical instruments, consumables, and other OT-related materials.
Ensure that the OT has all necessary equipment and supplies available before each surgery, including sterile instruments, drapes, medications, and disposables.
Track stock usage, reorder items as needed, and ensure that supplies are rotated to avoid expiry.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory record, both manually and electronically, and ensure accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing stock.
Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement department to order necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
Ensure timely and accurate receipt of supplies, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
Organize the storage of materials and supplies to ensure easy access and minimize waste or damage.
Ensure that all stock is labeled appropriately and stored in sterile, safe, and organized conditions.
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use before scheduled surgeries.
Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations related to the handling, storage, and usage of surgical supplies.
