Job Description

1. Prepare operation theatre by ensuring sterilization and readiness of instruments and equipment.
2. Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures as scrub or circulating nurse.
3. Prepare patients for surgery including verification, positioning and skin preparation.
4. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control throughout procedures.
5. Handle surgical instruments, sponges, needles and maintain accurate counts.
6. Monitor patient condition during surgery and report any abnormalities to anesthetist or surgeon.
7. Assist in shifting patients to recovery room and provide proper handover to recovery staff.
8. Clean and restock OT with instruments, linen and consumables after procedures.
9. Maintain OT registers, surgical records and instrument inventory.
10. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards and OT protocols.
