Description

Preoperative Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by verifying their identity, checking vital signs, administering preoperative medications, and ensuring informed consent is obtained.
Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by preparing and handing surgical instruments, monitoring the sterile field, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
Intraoperative Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall condition during surgery, ensuring patient safety and providing immediate response in case of complications.
Sterility and Infection Control: Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, following infection control protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
Postoperative Care: Assist in the safe transfer of patients to the recovery room, provide initial postoperative care, and monitor their condition as they regain consciousness from anesthesia.
Equipment Management: Ensure that all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterilized, organized, and available for use during surgeries.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other nurses to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures and coordinated patient care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the surgical procedure, patient status, and any complications that arise, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
