OT Scrub Nurse

Timings : Flexible to work on rotational shifts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparing the room for operation.
• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing surgery.
• Cleaning the patients by shaving or scrubbing.
• Ensuring all items are sterile for the surgery.
• Assist surgeons during major or minor operations / surgery.
• Maintain standards of nursing care in pre operative and post operative planning, implementation and patient care.
• Prepare the operating room for all emergency and scheduled procedures.
• Adheres to surgical safety checklist.
• Keep principles of aseptic techniques in performing surgical scrub ,setting instruments, gowning, gloving as needed for the procedure.
• Follow procedure prospectus for all surgeries.
• Cleaning the area after surgery - Properly disposing the medical wastes in the dustbins
• Assist as a circulatory or scrub nurse.
• Monitor and report all vital signs of patient.
• Administer oxygen therapy and suctions of secretions if required.
• Report any untoward reactions of patient to the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
• Carry out all the doctors order and directions.
• Give all psychological support to the patient and family.
• Maintain records of OT to precision in all details and report whenever necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualified, trained and having hands-on experience in OT
• Exposure in handling Ortho, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology, OBG, ENT, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgeries, etc
