  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Operating Theatre (OT), ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
  • Staff Supervision: Manage, train, and supervise OT staff, including nurses, technicians, and support personnel, ensuring proper workflow and high-quality care during surgical procedures.
  • Surgical Support: Ensure that all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available, sterile, and in optimal working condition before, during, and after surgeries.
  • Procedure Coordination: Coordinate and schedule surgeries, ensuring that surgical teams are prepared and all patient-related information is accurate and complete prior to procedures.
  • Infection Control: Enforce strict infection control protocols within the OT, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and hygiene standards are maintained to prevent any risk of infection.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health regulations, and accreditation standards, and maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, equipment usage, and staff performance.
  • Patient Safety: Monitor patient safety during surgeries, ensuring that anesthesia, patient positioning, and all necessary precautions are in place for safe surgical outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Manage OT inventory, including surgical instruments, supplies, and medical equipment, ensuring that necessary resources are stocked, replaced, and maintained properly.
  • Collaboration with Medical Teams: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients undergoing surgery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of the OT and its staff, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions or process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
