Description
- Manage the daily operations of the operating theaters, ensuring effective scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow.
- Coordinate and oversee surgical procedures, ensuring that all aspects of the operating room are prepared and functioning optimally.
- Supervise and lead the OT staff, including surgical nurses, scrub techs, and support personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staff performance issues.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with infection control protocols, surgical safety checklists, and best practices to maintain a sterile environment.
- Conduct regular audits of surgical procedures and outcomes to ensure high standards of care and patient safety.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of surgical equipment, ensuring that all items are functional, sterile, and available as needed.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgical schedules and ensure seamless operations.
- Act as a liaison between the operating theater and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
