Description

Assess patients before surgery or catheterization, gathering medical histories and ensuring necessary tests are conducted.
Educate patients on the procedures, potential risks, and postoperative care.
Administer pre-operative medications and prepare patients for the surgical or catheterization process.
Assist the surgical or catheterization team with patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
Maintain a sterile field in the operating room or cath lab.
Administer medications and intravenous fluids as needed during procedures.
Monitor patients in the recovery room, providing post-anesthesia care.
Assess and manage pain, and address any postoperative complications.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room or cath lab to the recovery area.
Assist cardiologists in performing cardiac catheterization procedures.
Monitor patients during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment used in the Cath Lab.
