Orthopedic Surgeon

Job Description:

• An orthopedic surgeon is responsible for treating patients with musculoskeletal issues, performing surgical procedures, and providing non-surgical care for conditions such as fractures, arthritis, and spinal disorders. This role requires expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options to improve the patient's mobility, alleviate pain, and restore physical function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions by evaluating patient symptoms, medical histories, and performing physical examinations.
• Performing surgical procedures such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, spinal surgeries, and arthroscopic procedures when necessary.
• Recommending and prescribing conservative treatments including physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
• Developing treatment plans tailored to the patient's needs, and guiding them through the rehabilitation process.
• Interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals including physical therapists, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educating patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care to help them make informed decisions.
• Staying current with medical advancements and orthopedic technologies to offer the best care options.
