Orthopedic Surgeon

Orthopaedic Doctor Duties:

• Provide medical care and treatment to patients who suffer from acute or chronic injuries or diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
• Develop and direct the orthopaedic department.
• Direct all actions of the orthopaedic department.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and resolving problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain the physical condition of company facilities and equipment.
• Conduct office and administrative duties related to the department.

Orthopaedic Doctor Responsibilities:

• Provide medical services and surgical care to patients to prevent, diagnose, and treat orthopaedic injuries and conditions.
• Offer preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative care, including the administration of medication and anaesthesia.
• Operate on patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform physical assessments to identify and treat any orthopaedic impairments.
• Perform diagnostic and non invasive imaging procedures.
• Perform surgery on patients, including minimally invasive procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of operating rooms.
• Consult with patients, their families, and other medical professionals about treatments, medications, and surgical procedures.
• Represent the hospital at professional conferences, and in joint medical, nursing, and anaesthesia committees.
• Review patient progress, and report relevant information to physicians and other medical personnel.
• Identify any irregularities or deficiencies, and report the concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Develop treatment plans for patients, including surgical interventions.
