Description

Perform thorough physical examinations on patients with musculoskeletal complaints, including joint pain, fractures, ligament injuries, and musculoskeletal diseases.
Take patient histories, assess symptoms, and diagnose common orthopedic conditions under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon.
Provide non-surgical treatment options, including prescribing medications, applying casts, splints, and braces, and providing physical therapy referrals.
Assist in managing chronic orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and tendonitis, and provide patient education on lifestyle changes, rehabilitation, and medication management.
Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgeries, such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopies, and ligament reconstructions.
Perform minor surgical tasks under supervision, including suturing wounds, removing sutures, and dressing post-operative sites.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound, to evaluate musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
Review imaging results and discuss findings with the supervising orthopedic surgeon to make informed treatment decisions.
