Description

Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, binocular vision, and eye health.
Perform diagnostic tests, such as retinal imaging, visual field testing, and tonometry, to detect and monitor eye conditions.
Evaluate patients' medical history, including ocular and systemic health factors, to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage a range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on patients' visual needs and lifestyle preferences.
Provide therapeutic interventions for eye conditions, such as prescribing medications, performing minor procedures, and referring patients to specialists when necessary.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle habits to promote ocular health.
Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and potential outcomes to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
Demonstrate techniques for contact lens insertion, removal, and care to ensure patient safety and compliance.
