Description

Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose eye diseases, conditions, and vision problems.
Diagnose ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Develop and implement treatment plans.
Perform eye surgeries, including but not limited to cataract extraction, LASIK, and retinal surgery. Manage preoperative and postoperative care.
Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, medications, and other treatments for vision correction and eye health maintenance.
Educate patients on eye care practices, preventive measures, and the management of chronic eye conditions.
Utilize specialized equipment to conduct diagnostic tests, such as visual field tests, OCT (optical coherence tomography), and fluorescein angiography.
Work closely with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient progress.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continuous education, attending conferences, and participating in professional development activities.
Ensure all practices comply with medical standards, ethical guidelines, and relevant healthcare regulations.
