Description

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose eye diseases, conditions, and vision problems.
  • Diagnose ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform eye surgeries, including but not limited to cataract extraction, LASIK, and retinal surgery. Manage preoperative and postoperative care.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, medications, and other treatments for vision correction and eye health maintenance.
  • Educate patients on eye care practices, preventive measures, and the management of chronic eye conditions.
  • Utilize specialized equipment to conduct diagnostic tests, such as visual field tests, OCT (optical coherence tomography), and fluorescein angiography.
  • Work closely with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient progress.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continuous education, attending conferences, and participating in professional development activities.
  • Ensure all practices comply with medical standards, ethical guidelines, and relevant healthcare regulations.
