Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with eye complaints, including visual acuity testing, slit-lamp examination, fundoscopic examination, tonometry, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual field testing, and ultrasound imaging.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, including but not limited to refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), corneal diseases, retinal disorders, and pediatric eye conditions.
  • Perform ophthalmic surgeries and procedures as needed, including cataract surgery, refractive surgery (e.g., LASIK, PRK), corneal transplantation, glaucoma surgery, retinal surgery, and oculoplastic surgery.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, visual needs, medical history, and preferences, which may include surgical intervention, medication management, optical correction, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, treatment options, medication adherence, and post-operative care instructions, while addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, primary care physicians, retina specialists, neurologists, and pediatricians, to provide comprehensive eye care and coordinate treatment for patients with complex medical needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, including participation in research studies and clinical trials.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continuing medical education, attendance at conferences, workshops, and seminars, and engagement in research activities.
