Description

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, refraction, tonometry, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, and dilated fundus examination, to assess patients' ocular health and visual function.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, including but not limited to refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and corneal diseases.
  • Prescribe and manage medical treatments for eye conditions, including medications, topical ophthalmic drops, and oral medications, tailored to patients' individual needs and medical history.
  • Perform surgical procedures to treat ophthalmic conditions, such as cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation, refractive surgery (e.g., LASIK, PRK), glaucoma surgery (e.g., trabeculectomy, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery), and corneal transplantation.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic technologies, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), fluorescein angiography, visual field testing, and ultrasound biomicroscopy, to aid in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases.
  • Provide pre-operative counseling to patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery, explaining the nature of the procedure, potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes in clear and understandable terms.
  • Monitor and manage post-operative care for surgical patients, including assessing surgical outcomes, managing complications, and optimizing visual rehabilitation and recovery.
