<ul><li>To inform the concerned consultant as soon as the patient is admitted</li><li>Perform and document history &amp; physical examination</li><li>Formulate differential diagnosis</li><li>Develops and documents initial plan of care*</li><li>Basic plan of care and check list as per labor room PROTOCOL book</li><li>Writes daily progress notes</li><li>Obtain and document informed consent</li><li>Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*</li><li>Interpret laboratory &amp; radiology results</li><li>Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*</li><li>Order appropriate medication and other orders*</li><li>Prepare an appropriate discharge summary and explain the orders on discharge to the patient.</li><li>To write the duty report in duty register and take written handover and takeover. (to be checked daily by the in-house consultants)</li><li>To fill the insurance form to be signed by the concerned consultant.</li></ul>
