Nursing Tutor

• Qualification: B. Sc. Nursing /P.B.B. Sc. Nursing
• Experience: B. Sc. Nursing /P.B.B. Sc. Nursing with 1 year experience M.Sc. Nursing preferable
• Certification: Holding an active Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) Number  from State Nurses Registration Council

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for producing and distributing specific learning objectives with respect to the speciality and schedules to the clinical facilities prior to student’s attendance at the facility. 
• Brief the students regarding their clinical requirements, maintenance of daily dairy in the clinical setting and timely submission of assignments 
•  Conduct demonstration and supervise return demonstrations of students in the lab. 
• Patient assignment in the clinicals as per learning objective 
• Timely evaluation and correction of assignments submitted by students. 
• Conduct and participate formative and summative evaluation of the students and timely feedback to students. 
• Conduct and participate in Guidance and counselling sessions. 
• Supervises students in their area of clinical posting. 
• Liaison with the ward in charge /staff nurses for smooth conduct of the clinical learning of the students. 
• Teaching subjects in the curriculum as per direction of Principal/Vice Principal.
•  Assist in maintenance of records pertaining to students as and when required. 
• Assist in preparation of timetable, duty rosters and its distribution to assigned areas. 
• Assist learners to identify both their learning needs and the effective learning activities required to meet those needs while fostering a positive attitude about the benefits and opportunities of life-long learning. 
• Actively manage clinical risk, informs Nursing Head of incidents, and contributes to quality and risk planning.
•  Lead and encourage continuous quality improvement activities with ongoing monitoring, 
• Identify and actively involved in clinical audit activities related to clinical practice and improved patient outcomes. 
• Maintain quality standards to meet accreditation and certification requirements.
• Conducts bed side clinical teaching to appraise the nursing students. 
• Monthly maintenance and upkeep of respective labs. 
• Participate in co- curricular in extracurricular activities of the college.
