Description

Provide leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department, establishing goals, objectives, and performance standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurses, nursing assistants, and other support personnel, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing competency and performance.
Collaborate with nursing leadership, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols that promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee nursing staffing levels, scheduling, and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and optimal utilization of nursing resources, adjusting staffing as needed to meet patient care needs and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
Monitor nursing performance metrics, including patient outcomes, nurse satisfaction, and quality indicators, analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve nursing efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing care, maintaining licensure, certification, and accreditation for nursing services.
Coordinate nursing education and training programs, facilitating orientation, continuing education, and skills development initiatives for nursing staff to enhance clinical competency and promote professional growth.
