Description

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting independence and respecting patient dignity and privacy.
Help patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate lifting and transfer techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent falls or injuries.
Provide basic nursing care, such as turning and repositioning patients in bed, assisting with ambulation, and providing skin care to prevent pressure ulcers.
Measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate, following established procedures and reporting any abnormalities or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
Assist with monitoring and recording patient intake and output, including food and fluid intake, urinary output, and bowel movements, and reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
Respond to patient call lights promptly, attending to patient needs and requests in a compassionate and timely manner.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, engaging in conversation, active listening, and comforting gestures to alleviate anxiety and promote well-being.
