Description

Supervise and manage nursing staff, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and nursing assistants, ensuring adequate staffing levels, competency, and performance.
Coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, assessments, treatments, and discharge planning, to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
Assign patient care responsibilities to nursing staff based on patient acuity, staff competency, and workload distribution, optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.
Provide clinical leadership and expertise to nursing teams, serving as a mentor, role model, and resource for best practices, evidence-based care, and professional development.
Conduct regular rounds on patient units to assess patient status, monitor nursing care delivery, and address any issues or concerns related to patient care, safety, or comfort.
Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring holistic and coordinated care.
Ensure compliance with nursing standards, protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements, including those set forth by accreditation bodies, licensing agencies, and professional organizations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve nursing care practices and outcomes.
