Description

  • Supervise and manage nursing staff, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and nursing assistants, ensuring adequate staffing levels, competency, and performance.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, assessments, treatments, and discharge planning, to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
  • Assign patient care responsibilities to nursing staff based on patient acuity, staff competency, and workload distribution, optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to nursing teams, serving as a mentor, role model, and resource for best practices, evidence-based care, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular rounds on patient units to assess patient status, monitor nursing care delivery, and address any issues or concerns related to patient care, safety, or comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring holistic and coordinated care.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements, including those set forth by accreditation bodies, licensing agencies, and professional organizations.
