Description

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including those with respiratory failure, septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, and other complex medical conditions.
Perform thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and gastrointestinal status, and monitor vital signs and hemodynamic parameters using advanced monitoring equipment.
Administer medications, intravenous fluids, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications.
Manage mechanical ventilation and provide airway management, including suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ventilator weaning protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care, and provide emotional support and counseling during times of stress and uncertainty.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and staff development activities to enhance the quality of care delivered in the ICU and promote evidence-based nursing practice.
