Description

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes, following safety protocols and physician instructions.
Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment such as PET, SPECT, and gamma cameras to capture high-quality images for medical evaluation.
Position patients correctly for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety, while explaining the process to reduce patient anxiety.
Assist in the preparation and mixing of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring the correct dosage and labeling, and maintaining accurate records.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures, observing for any adverse reactions or complications and reporting to the supervising physician.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring that it operates correctly and safely, while adhering to regulatory guidelines for radiation safety.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols, including the safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
Document and report all imaging results and patient information accurately, maintaining up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and accurate diagnostic results.
