Description

  • Operate gamma cameras, PET scanners, and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment to acquire images of organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and optimize imaging parameters to produce high-quality images.
  • Monitor patients during and after radiopharmaceutical administration to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
  • Process acquired images using computer software to enhance image quality and ensure accurate representation of anatomical structures.
  • Assist nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists in interpreting imaging results and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Perform routine quality control tests on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals to maintain equipment functionality and imaging accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Document patient information, procedure details, and imaging findings accurately and comprehensively in medical records and reports.
