Description

  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure patients are properly positioned for imaging and that the correct procedures are followed to minimize discomfort.
  • Monitor patients during the imaging process and ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Record patient history and document any conditions or allergies that might impact the procedure.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the guidance of a physician or medical physicist.
  • Ensure the correct dosage and method of administration for radiopharmaceuticals (injection, ingestion, inhalation) as prescribed.
  • Safely handle and store radioactive materials in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure that all nuclear medicine imaging equipment is well-maintained and calibrated to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine quality control checks and troubleshoot any equipment issues.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and calibration of new equipment.
