Description

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national radiation protection regulations, including those set by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) and other relevant authorities.
  • Develop and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public.
  • Conduct routine radiation surveys and monitor radiation levels in clinical and laboratory settings.
  • Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and performance testing of nuclear medicine equipment, such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and radiation detection instruments.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for imaging and therapy equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians to develop and optimize imaging protocols for various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Ensure that the imaging procedures are carried out with maximum accuracy while minimizing radiation exposure to patients.
  • Assist in selecting the appropriate radiopharmaceuticals for various procedures based on patient needs and diagnostic requirements.
