Description

Ensure compliance with local, state, and national radiation protection regulations, including those set by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) and other relevant authorities.
Develop and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public.
Conduct routine radiation surveys and monitor radiation levels in clinical and laboratory settings.
Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and performance testing of nuclear medicine equipment, such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and radiation detection instruments.
Develop and implement quality control procedures for imaging and therapy equipment.
Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and troubleshoot any issues.
Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians to develop and optimize imaging protocols for various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Ensure that the imaging procedures are carried out with maximum accuracy while minimizing radiation exposure to patients.
Assist in selecting the appropriate radiopharmaceuticals for various procedures based on patient needs and diagnostic requirements.
